So, a couple summers ago, due to over work and extreme family stress outside of our control, I didn't sleep for 6 days.
On the 6th day, almost 7th I went psychotic. Thankfully no real harm was done other than to my reputation as i went on facebook asking people to call 911 as i thought i was having a stroke, and then continued to write nonsensical garbage for a while.
When I was in the hospital awaiting treatment, i did have scenes of that night flash before my eyes, very much like scenes from a movie, not completely unlike this.
It took my brain a couple months to truly recover.
My diagnosis was PsychoPhysiological Insomnia
