Comic sans is a must as well
Papyrus claimed the title over comic sans with Ryan Gosling, I think.
A fount of fonts
OMG Ebola! Memories of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac!
Whoever named those Angie fonts sounds like a registered set offender or a serial killer.
Just an FYI, only load the ones you want to use into your word program. That many fonts will severly slow down your system.

That's a lot of fonts
Hi... I'm sorry, I'm new here (collective groan). Can I just check if this is legit? It would be an amazing help if it's true... (you know what they say about things that seem to god to be true) Also are their viruses? Please commence the throwing of virtual tomatoes! 🤗
Maybe viruses, maybe not viruses. Download at your own risk but scan with a good antivirus.
Thank you for your advice...
I'm a bit basic when it comes to this... What would be a good anti virus (what would you use?) if you don't mind me asking.?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer 👍

If you're that new then just make sure Windows Defender is fully enabled. It should be anyway but worth checking.
You can scan things online using virustotal before downloading.
Heed the other users advice here:
Download at your own risk
scanned the zip someone else in the thread posted, will that suffice?
Download at your own risk
Not trying to be glib here but you're downloading a random zip file from a random sub on the net.
You have no way of knowing what's in there, what might get run when you open it or where it came from.
Personally I'd get the fonts from the OD.
For the software that /u/AndrewZabar posted - gud of him to do so but see my point in this post.
sure, but scanning the zip with virustotal should be enough right? also forgot to mention but i didnt get andrew zabar's one, rather this one
Genuinely not trying to be difficult or contrary here - sure, the zip will save you some download bandwidth
273.0 MB vs 536.13 MiB
but you're still going to need the expanded space anyway.
Is there a reason you aren't just getting the fonts via wget (or similar)?
As already stated - fonts have their own security issues. Rather than downloading some random zip file made by who the fuck knows, containing what the fuck knows I'd suggest downloading the fonts and the then running an updated local av scan (or even an online scan on the downloaded folder BEFORE accessing any of the fonts.
At least that way you're getting it from the horses mouth.
No disrespect towards the guy that made the zip - it just adds an extra layer which could be compromised.
No you're totally right, i just don't really know how to wget that well, just basic commands, and i also don't have a local antivirus at the moment.
and i also don't have a local antivirus at the moment.
That needs to be fixed asap (even on linux I have clamav to scan local files and directories). Have a look at my post further up or even the online scanner in my previous post.

This may help with getting to grips with wget. It's a useful cheat sheet.
Alt: try a gui frontend like uget.
thanks for taking the time to reply to my comments, appreciate it!

is there a open source av you suggest? avast and the major ones are a big no no.
great site, will check it out. also there are guides on the sidebar i didnt see, so ill refer to that as well.
https://clamwin.com/
https://www.clamav.net/downloads
https://clamsentinel.sourceforge.net/
Clam Sentinel is the realtime scanner (as in it's resident to scan all files on the system)
You'll get a LOT of false positives and need to do a fair amount of configuration.
But the av engine is rock solid & FOSS.
hey, sorry for the late reply, but thank you for those links. im on macos so clamav is really the only option, so im gonna go with that.

Is there a way to preview a font without downloading it?
Tks.
Here’s the file. I zipped it, extracts just a single exe you run. It’s in VB6, so you may need to download runtime library from MS (it’s a windows app), and I don’t recall 100% whether I used any special lib or ocx but I’m pretty sure it’s just native class stuff. I’m just amateur but it works nicely. Let me know if you need any help.

Thanks!
Thank you!
My pleasure.
dunno about previewing files but I'd say if you go to dafonts (or any of the gorrillion other font sites) and search by the filename it should give you a preview.
I made an app in VB years ago that lets you browse a folder of fonts and see each one previewed. I’ll upload it somewhere when I can.
I have been meaning to share my font repository (lol pun) as well. I have around 1,300 ttfs amassed over the years. That’s after trimming away a ton of crappy ones lol. I’ll get around to it.
TYTY
I don't know why, but I just feel like I need to scrape this whole thing.
Edit: 11,234 files; 553MB.
Make sure you scan with a trusted AV. Fonts can be a vector for malware.

Absolutely! Thank you.
Any chance someone could grab all these and zip them? I'm on mobile so I cannot. But it would be great in case they close the directory.
Sure. I got everything downloaded already. Zipped file is \~200MB. I'll upload it somewhere and get back to you.
Eagerly awaiting. AV tested?
Also awaiting an AV tested zip.
Awesome. Thank you.
Hello, will be really grateful if you could share that zip link. Much thanks in advance!
It's in the comment thread above.
It's not showing in the thread for some reason
I can see that you posted that on your profile but I can't see it in the thread. Would it be possible to say what site it is and then post the section of the link after the dot com?
Copying the links from Cletus above:
Sendspace dot com file/iz9pg7
ufile dot io /70qsk825
Couldn't see it in the app so had to go to the website
Edit: these are both links to the same file hosted on 2 sites, which is very kind of Cletus.
thanks! tagging others who wanted the link: u/I_AM_NOT_AT_W0RK u/Ex_Machina_1 u/sohomsengupta89 u/screamofwheat u/Oliver425
yo Cletus, anyone ever told you you're a real one? Thanks a lot, friend.
May I also get a link?
I just had the urge as well
what is the easiest way i could scrape a directory like that?
