Same, it was an amazing time. In my small town everyone went to the church in the late afternoon & evening to chill in front of it since there were 2 pokestops at once. Making new friends never was easier since people from all generations (like 8 to 60) suddenly had a common interest.
Hell, it was an astonishingly mediocre game at the time with no end goal, no direct pvp, and terrible trade functionality.
And yet I just loved it so much, so did everybody.
It was honestly more about the social aspect than about the game but yes, it didn't matter. Everyone just loved it. Social games are great :)
