Assuming that I’ve only started to see these memes after taking an hour long nap, you aren’t very out of the times.
From what I’ve read, a Russian missile hit a polish town and killed 2 polish people. These people are saying that this has a chance of triggering article 5 of nato causing Russia to (and I don’t actually know if the article does this, I’m just using context clues) go to war with the entire alliance.

Article 5 is unlikely to be declared over this. If it was a Russian missile, it is incredibly likely that there was some error in firing it, and that is not enough cause to go to war.
Article 5 also isn’t a big red WAR button. It merely says that an attack against one NATO country is an attack against all, and responses can vary from putting up anti-missile defences along the Polish border, increasing military presence in Poland, or, yes, war.
If the worst was to happen, not every nuke on the planet would fly. It’s likely that a small number of them will before nations start waving the white flag, asking for peace. Nukes would start off tactically, taking out army groups and supply depots, and wouldn’t necessarily escalate into attacking cities and such. It’s something to be scared of, but it wouldn’t end civilization, let alone the planet. It’d just really fucking hurt it
Article 5 can only be set in motion if a NATO country is clearly attacked. Given how this particular case wasn't a direct attack on Poland by Russia, Poland initiated negotiations on Article 4 which only presumes the possible danger of an attack.
By now it is known that the missile was a ukrainian air defense missile that was sent out against a russian missile that targeted a facility near the Ukrainian-Polish border. The remains of the two landed in Poland so Article 5 can't be at effect, since Russia didn't target Poland.

A missile hit just across the border and into poland. NATO is now investigating wether or not the missile is russian or from ukraine. The problem is that ukraine would have an interest in bringing NATO into the conflict since russia would be wiped out pretty quickly. Both sides are denying being involved.
Article 5 is the inclusion of NATO forces based on wether a members political independance or safety is at stake. If its russia i imagine it will have to be investigated if the missile was a miss or if it was intentional to hit poland.
Id like to see NATO wipe out russia but here in western europe id very much be in the blast zone if russia actually has working nukes that they decide to use as a last measure.
