What the fuck. Luckily, single use plates, cups, knifes, spoons and forks are taxed enormously high in my country, and are thus very expensive, so you literally could not afford to be this lazy. How disgusting
I get it, and we wash dishes constantly, but some people absolutely live on plasticware and paper plates. That stuff is super cheap, and if you are wrangling a bunch of people trying to stay in front of dishes is awful. Same basic reason tons of quick service places don't bring you food on a real plate. All of the BBQ and chicken places in my neck of the woods use styrofoam plates and cups, which is even more nauseating, and styrofoam plates a even cheaper than paper at the dollar store.
We bought a huge set of actual cheap plates and silverware specifically for family gatherings, but 100% of other people's parties and family gatherings I've been to it's all disposable.
I understand. In my experience, in Europe, you pretty much wonāt find any plastic cutlery or paper plates in households except for when itās time for kids birthday parties. And in regards to the dishes, do you not own a dishwasher? It makes it all so easy.
Like I said - we do dishes constantly, and use the dishwasher as much as possible. But every day the sink gets full, tons of stuff is stuck to plates and requires lots of cleaning pre-dishwasher, and if the dishwasher is full there are plenty more dishes to do. Also like half of our dishes can't go in the dishwasher for various reasons. I can't housetrain people - if everyone was scraping off and rinsing their plates, it would make the round trip through cleaning better.
I'll say this, though - every low income house I've ever been in has a sink full of dirty dishes, and there's a lot of takeout eating. It's all convenience, time, and/or cost-related. I can't really judge those people - we work full time and barely keep up with everything with just one kid.

Usually pizzas are mostly carbs (dough), sugar (tomato sauce), and fat (cheese), and not much vitamins, it's all the things we tend to overeat and can lead to obesity. Also the combo of carbs+sugar+fat tends to be addictive, and usually makes you eat more than you need, it's not uncommon to eat too much pizza and only realize it afterwards.
