Not denying that at all, but in this context and ones similar to this, it's important to remember that things mean what we think and allow them to mean. What I mean by this is best explained with a hypothetical example: Let's say that a random person named John is a racist. John has been brainwashed to think that white people are superior to other races and is angry that society disagrees with that idea more and more as the days go by. In his anger, he wants to "rebel against these misguided societal values" and decides that the best way to do this, is to wear a white t-shirt, which in his mind, represents "white purity" or whatever stupid bullshit. Due to the unfortunate fact that there still are many racist people in this world, this racist idea gains some attention and other racists start wearing white shirts in support of these racist ideals as well. At this point, we as a collective species, have a decision to make:
Option A: Agree that white t-shirts are racist and give the racist people like John exactly what they want. We could systematically go through all TV shows, movies and video games, making sure no characters have white t-shirts because "we're not racist".
Option B: we collectively say "fuck off John, that's fucking idiotic" and move on with our lives. White t-shirts remain just that, white t-shirts and the racist people don't get to feel heard and their protest gets invalidated.
So now the question is directed at you, LAZERIZER, and you seem to have chosen option A, despite it being rather obvious that you want to resist racism, but you do end up giving it power despite your good intentions.
Basically what I am saying is this: don't let racists define what things mean. Don't give them the power to infiltrate public discussion as if their arguments had some kind of roots in reality. Option B might sound like "ignoring racism", but in actuality it's choosing to not let the racist have it their way. It's choosing to not give validity to their argument and to not blow wind into their metaphorical sails. Let's not "give" racists white t-shirts.

You misunderstand. It's not about "not caring". I absolutely DO care! Nor is it about not sharing information, what I am advocating for is the acknowledgement of behaviour -> rationalizing to self and others in close proximity why that behaviour is wrong, and then moving on. Also, what's wrong with the t-shirts as an example? Sure it's an unrealistic one, but the fundamental logic behind it is not difficult to extract and apply to any number of similar examples, unless I was unclear in making my point. For example "obnoxiously drinking milk" in 2016 when trump was elected, or when the "👌/Ok sign" was supposedly a white power symbol. What I'm simply arguing here, is that if more people shared your attitude towards this issue, things like the 👌 hand gesture would GENUINELY be considered racist symbols nowadays. Which is in my view, incredibly reductive. Fight for the right for things to just be things, nothing less, nothing more. Let's not let racists get what they want by not fighting for it.
