Peter pan bundle for amaru is a good idea now that i think about it

[removed]

Ubi knows what to do now

Twisted Metal's Sweet Tooth looking ass costume for Sledge would be cool

Aruni can have a kaz costume

Cav should have Ghostface.

As ghostface I agree

now we even got morty

Don't forget Krombopulous Michael

Here I go Killin again

You either die a classic or live long enough to get Morty

die a classic anyday

Lol for real?

thats terrifying

And I thought getting deployed and finding out that TF2 changed to being a hat simulators when I came back was jarring.

it’s one of the main reasons i don’t play anymore. however, the “funny” meme hats are probably a large reason as to why the game’s still alive today.

Y'all would really like the Team Fortress 2 Classic mod, it overhauls the game to be more in line with the spirit of the release concept. No hats, only 2 extra weapons for every class, actually working melee, cleaner graphics, a new VIP gamemode featuring a fully voiced character, working hit registration, ect ect.

Changed to?

TF2 didn’t always have hats. it was released in 2007 and the first cosmetic update was in 2009.

And initially it was really minor, when I was gone it was a few items but then when I came back, there was slots tons of slots and stuff, it was learning a new game when I came back.

Same thing happened to Overwatch, deployed and new characters and major game changes happened as well.

If you’ve played recently it also doubles as a cyber-warfare simulator, with all the bots and whatnot

Aye fair enough. That’s weird though, it feels like it’s a part of its DNA now

Is that not pay to win because the cosmetic is bigger than the actual head hitbox? You could shoot his cheek but not do anything because you're not hitting the hitbox?

MaN tHaT tBaG...

Cant wait to play as the legandairy dragon of dojima, kiryu kazuma, the legendairy yakuza, in a video game.

Kiryu my beloved 🥰

I have only ever been able to play through yakuza games with kiryu in them.

And Rainbow 6 Siege, he’s in that too

he’s in siege now?!

Don't all the games besides Judgement and Black Panther (and technically Ishin) have Kiryu in them?

You don't play Kiryu in Like a Dragon

But Kiryu makes a appearance in it so it still counts

I know what i have to do, but I dont know if i have the strength to do it.

i have not successfully completed that game yet, very tragic.

I just want a K-9 operator and tons of doggy skins

Never gonna happen cause noone wants to shoot a dog

Give someone an ATF skin. Problem solved

Just bring in ATF operators, they shoot your dog and your character tears up, impairing vision

[deleted]

Bonus points if children are involved

[deleted]

I was more meaning the 20+ plus children killed in the waco siege by the ATF but thats cool too :)

So do chest level shots count as headshots then?

They automatically send a ton of firearms to the enemy team in the beginning of every round. Special ability is to set the entire map on fire and take trophy shots with the burned courses of children :)

Just make it the Boston Dynamics dog.

It didn’t go so well.

(Watch until the end)

That battering ram lmfao

Still too cute

thats fine we also have this halloween skin of dog the bounty hunter

Idk what’s worse, BD dogs are extremely cute

COD has had dogs in multiplayer for a while.

Well I mean don’t stop the police.

What about the duck hunt dog?

I must say. I had trouble shooting dogs back in Cod World at War.

Make it a robot dog

Ubisoft would never let you shoot dogs, at most it'd be a robot/drone of some sort. Less likely to cause trouble for them

Well I did have to sadly put down a lot of dogs in Far Cry but it's a different style of game even tho it's also ubi

What? Countless games have enemy dogs in them

Splinter cell pandora tomorrow had dogs you could kill and so did the psp game splinter cell essentials

So did Blacklist.

first world problems lol

If his ability relies on an ai dog then it doesn’t belong in the game

Would love an original splinter cell elite for Zero though

would love a splinter cell game

I regret to inform you that they just canceled the next splinter cell game

NOOOOOO

It was going to be on the Meta’s oculus quest 2 though

It’s in the game

Foreshadowing😳

Thought this was for mw 2019

It probably was

Thought it was for every recent shooter

Did that one get bad before Warzone though? It’s a total fuckin revenue-driven corporate synergy cameo circus atm

I thought it was for CW

D-did I just got gunned down by a furry?

No that's smoke.

Bro, l-look at this.

Oh... he's only muckin abou- teamkill

If he said “relax” before all that he wouldn’t have been tk’ed

r/Titanfall : you guys are getting seasons?

I wish there was an in-game option to make all players' skins return to default. One of the reasons I stopped playing this game, is because everyone looks like a teletubby.

The ridiculous skins, and how the gameplay went from a 5v5, to "Whichever team knows the best gadget locations wins".

Imagine quitting a game over skins

Imagine still playing a shitty game that values making money off of kids via skins, instead of actually improving the game.

I started playing Siege, because it was a realistic tactical shooter. Now it's a teletubby gadget simulator with guns, and incredibly unrealistic operators, but hey at least we have Rick and Morty skins so it's okay.

Screw what the game has turned into, and everyone who defends it.

[deleted]

Nice dude. Typical "child" insult response. Really got me good and proved me wrong on that one woowee.

Why tf are you even on this Subreddit if you're just gonna act like a little butthurt walrus when someone says something negative about Ubisoft and their shitty cash grab game? If you're looking for positivity, you're in the wrooooong place buddy.

[deleted]

Ah man, you got me good again. How are you so good at this?

Do you wanna do it one more time, like the big (literal) man that you are? Go ahead! My 18 year old self is asking for it now!

9.3k upvotes in under 3 hours?? jesus fuck

edit: second highest rated meme on the sub in under 5 hours wtf

And it’s the same thing being said every day on the sub. OP got lucky af lol

It’s because most of the people here are sick of Ubisoft’s shit

Now I'm not saying the chinese are trying to topple pro hong kong lesion

But...

This image is also the thing i see most on any gaming sub too

So true that it actually hurts.

that's really hurt damn

Those of us who became fans with Rogue Spear or Raven Shield or Vegas feel a special pain. I put Siege down around the Brazil update. They strayed too far from god.

Me too. To me, Rainbow is US Army guys like Ding Chavez. I’m not saying Siege is bad, it’s just not the game I want. Honestly same with the new Ghost Recon games. Went from US Army squad combat to open world shooter. Not necessarily “bad” just a waste of a good tactical shooter niche.

Rainbow was never just the us army but I agree with your sentiment

Yeah I think the whole point of the team was an international all star swat team, no?

Not that the games really have much to do with the book outside of some character names.

Yeah the book it was based on (I think j have my timeline right, it's a good book!) Has it as a Nato team. Although I am happy with the expansion worldwide, the shitty e-sports plot annoyed me.

Also I bet its quiet on base around the Russian operators these days.

The game Ready or not is where its at now. Even not that fleshed out its so good and fun to play tactically.

That feeling when you make a full plan to clear a level and it works...

Never understood why Siege didn't give you at least like a minute to draw on a map with your team before each match. Oh okay wait no I get it now.

The funniest thing is they had that feature in the pre-release E3 demo and then they scrapped it.

They wanted a change of direction. From tactical shooter to Esports machine.

1% of people would actually use this board to draw up an attack plan. It would just be dick drawings, swastikas and other racist shit most times.

It's really not needed. You get 45 second prep phase, where you can talk about how you want to attack. Drawing on a map is redundant.

Due Process has this, a few minutes to draw a plan. Most people I came across use it properly.

Tbf that whole thing wasn't necessarily a created feature, just an early concept they had in mind. Would still be nice though.

Those of us who became fans with Rogue Spear or Raven Shield or Vegas feel a special pain.

The guys that made that game are making a new game called Ground Branch and they just got a ton of money from some Australian billionaire who bought Microprose the old sim publisher from the 90's:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgMQiJG5CVk

Looks a little choppy. What I liked about Vegas is you can set up your breach and tags targets and create a fluid take down of everyone behind the door.

the glory days of rogue spear will never be forgotten by this heart (beat sensor)

Introducing April Fool's skins (like Tachanka's pink unicorn skin) and not making them seasonal-only like TF2 does with their Halloween items is what did it for me lol

Stopped playing around black ice for me. Miss the early days where people would stack up on a door and stand behind the characters with shields, or when the team would go through plane and glaz would be on overwatch shooting through the windows.

Still wish we got to play what they showed in that fist video

If you compare Siege to Rogue Spear or Vegas you don't really need these skins to be offended. The fact that it's a CS/Overwatch clone should be blasphemous enough. Hell Vegas was nothing like Rogue Spear or Raven Shield. All these games only share the name.

A very very sharp pain indeed. It hurts.

I hate that this happened to PUBG. Holy shit are the skins bad ... It's all so cringe. Worse than Fortnite.

Well the bottom pic isn’t from an animation so it’s not even as bad as reality.

Team Fortress 2 was such a carefully considered and thoughtfully designed game from a visual standpoint.

Now its a clown show.

Who woulda thought the Peter Griffin line "see you guys are stupid, they're gonna be looking for army guys" quote was actually a prophecy for video game DLC

For 2042 it is just the second picture

True. Too bad the gameplay is still less than the titles that came before and core elements to the game are missing.

So 2042 is the second picture in spirit, lol.

Unpopular opinion but I've always thought skins ruined online gaming.

Well if you find a equally reliable way to support a game as a service without monthly pay to play or pay to win, I'm all ears

Devs: why not both

Now introducing the R6 elite skins with +1 speed and 50HP extra

[deleted]

Yeah I was waiting for someone to say this. I'm only 27 so not old... yet, but I was 14/15 putting HOURS into Mw2, Mw3, and the black ops games that didn't have mircotransactions. People played those games as they were for years without problems. Gives us new content; guns, maps, game modes, yes. But when you start selling literal clown skins, I don't know it's just strange. Though to also put it out there, I don't mind or care for these micro transactions since I barely spend anything on them anyway. It's what it is and we just have to live with them now, sucks.

Call of duty makes and made so much more money off sales than any other game, period, alone any Tom Clancy game. Seems very weird to use that as your example of games launching and being sustained without micro transactions lol. Activision is also worth 60 billion dollars while Ubisoft is worth 5.5 billion

Not liking weird ass colorful clown skins is becoming more and more of a boomer take, and it's sad, because it's normalized

Lmao this is so dogshit.

CS 1.6 and other games of that era had terrible dev support, it's legacy came from community modding.

Look at Fortnite, the amount of money that cosmetics/emotes have generated has allowed the game to have insane crossovers, tons of free gameplay content, and they also have community-made maps and modes on a server browser. And the game is 100% free, the only thing money gets you are cosmetic items.

It's literally proof that if you're game is good it sells, just like it used to be. All the rest.

If Fortnite didn't have cosmetics, it wouldn't be f2p since it would need to support itself somehow, and it never would have gotten as popular as it did. You cannot compare the video game giants of today to games 20 years ago, they don't even come close in terms of player count and revenue.

You're bringing up $60million for Valheim as if that's good enough for a AAA game, while games like Apex, Fortnite, and Warzone have individually generated billions of dollars in revenue just from cosmetics.

40 year old dude here, I remember roughly around the time cash shops started to invade mmorpgs and utterly ruined them in many ways. Or how dailies infected so many various types of games and fundamentally changed how games were made/played, in a very negative way. As well as everything else you said is absolutely true.

Stardewvalley, Terraria, Factorio, indie games are what games used to be.

I remember playing Modded Total Annihilation with friends on a custom map I made using resources included from the game itself. This shit has always been about capitalism/greed ruining EVERYTHING, especially once it hits more mainstream audiences. Hence the "normies ruin everything/the internet" from back in the day, we knew it was coming...

Same reason we get garbage movies that "appeal to a larger audience", greed. They COULD make a really good movie that appeals to sci fi niche and make 600million dollars. Instead they make some hot garbage->meh sci fi movie that has flashy graphics, cute actors, and just terrible writing, but most people eat that shit up and will scream at anyone who criticizes the thing they liked and are unwilling to admit the flaws.

Back in Rainbow 6: Vegas 2, you unlocked cool and tactical cosmetics the more you played. I'd rather have that back, ideally.

Just not the bright coloured clown costumes.

100% support this, when I played cod I loved to get all the special camos and calling cards it's a shame we don't have something for skins like those games or R6 extraction

The thing is, not every game needs to be a game as a service. And the ones that benefit from them, maybe shouldnt stay a service indefinitely...

EDIT: oh, and the other way to do it is just by selling copies. if your service is really making the game that much better you should be making money.

100% a game does not to be a service but I don't think R6 sells enough to sustain the scene, but by all means it's Ubisoft they might have a option and still take the skin money

Does super smash brothers melee sell enough to "sustain the scene"?

If so, impressive since they haven't made a new copy in probably 15 years but it's got a giant competitive scene to this day....

Why tf would you use Melee as an example lmfao, the scene is poor as fuck, only the top 10 players are making decent money. Mang0 makes way more money from streaming than he ever did from Melee tournaments and sponsorships, he was relatively poor until his stream took off.

Why are you talking about money?

Melee has a giant scene with constant consistent tournaments with a ton of entrants and an eternally evolving metagame and skill ceiling.

That's what makes a good competitive game. "Game" being the keyword. Not money funnel; game. And Melee is a great game to show that a competitive scene doesn't need all the bullshit people claim it needs.

Melee has a good scene in regards to it being grassroots, it is nowhere close to being on the same level as other esports, nor does it come close to modern games in terms of popularity.

Incorrect. Compare the number of entrants in any recent r6 tourney to those in a smash tourney. Smash wins by orders of magnitude.

Entrants is irrelevant, big esports games have qualifiers or invite teams to events, Smash and other FGC tournaments are open to anyone that pays the entry fee.

There are way more people playing R6 than Melee.

By sustaining I mean the development of new content and the pro scene. Correct me if I'm wrong as I know barely anything regarding the topic but Nintendo does now support new content for super smash Bros and does not have tournaments and leagues all year?

My point is that none of that is necessary. You don't need new content every year. You don't need a publisher artificially propping up a competitive scene by injecting their advertising budget into it.

Make a good game, release it, and if it's a good competitive game, the players will do the rest. Hell project slippi has done more for smash than any AAA publisher has done for their game 20 years after release.

just give the players modding/mapmaking tools on their own and it doesnt need to be a GaaS and will have a huge player base for years and years. See: CS 1.6, WC3, etc etc etc

No doubt, but their engine does not seem to be as moddable as source and they might want it out of our hands due to some security risks or intellectual property

plus sony and microsoft probably wouldn’t allow that kind of game model on their platforms

option: show player skins on/off

Nope because this would reduce sales because not everyone would know when a player spent $20 on their pink bunny suit.

Honestly it’s the most logical option but would never happen for the sole reason it would deter sales. The people buying the skin or trying to “show off”(by buying a skin? Its true…but very stupid) and if they knew there was a chance that people couldn’t see their special skin they wouldn’t bother.

It’s a vanity of cringe but it lines the devs pockets as popularity dwindles, it’s a fate many games come to and unfortunately making gameplay and mode improvements or adding realistic skins just isn’t something the devs can do.

We really should be thinking about the corporations bottom line and not our gaming quality of life.

That arguments been made before but I'm unaware of a single game that had that feature and had financial issues because of it. I'd even argue the majority of gamers want to see skins and wouldn't turn it off.

I also think that argument is a bit off. The studios aren't concerned that self centered people won't be able to flaunt to everyone, they are more concerned that people will immediately turn skins off and thus never see other players with skins they may want (and then possibly buy). Every enemy with a skin is an advertisement for that skin.

I don't care about how much a company makes in sales of a product I don't want them selling.

This makes no sense. Most people love skins and enjoy admiring each other's skins. Those of us who don't enjoy it not participating isn't taking anything away from their fun, and the vast majority of the player base of just about any game is going to leave skins on.

There’s plenty of people that don’t care for skins, but in reality the actual hardcore fanbase that plays the hand all the time is likely to enjoy skins, and that’s who their targeting.

A simple toggle switch wouldn’t be a problem to implement, especially in any sort of military sim. I’ll fitting Skins can ruin a players immersion and turn them off from the game entirely.

I'd gladly pay for a game to avoid skins.

[deleted]

Most reasonable redditor

Maybe skin in the same genre of the game

This. Seeing a giant furry clown or whatever roll across in a tactical shooter really hurts the experience for anyone that likes immersion.

What is so wrong with pay to play?

Nothing wrong and now, although many games such has wow and final fantasy work well with it I don't think the R6 community would embrace the format that well

Games had been doing it for YEARS before all this online skin stuff. It's only really since CSGO did it and companies realised how much money they could make that they started it

Yearly payment of 15 dollars

Eh, hunt showdown managed to keep authentic style with a shitton of weapon and character skins. Problems still exist, different topic though.

Ur mad cuz u got spawnkilled by a goofy pizza Mozzie? I mean I can't blame you

no

Tho seriously I think skins can ruin games in the sense that it's the only content the devs put out (Like overwatch)

[deleted]

This is the way

I agree and disagree.

For somewhat serious games, it absolutely does for me. I was disappointed when PUBG and R6S followed the trend that Fortnite and others set.

But it's a cosmetic dlc that funds game development and the servers. It's the necessary evil for games as a service, instead of rereleasing games every year (looking at you COD).

So I hate it but understand why it's needed, however there needs to be a middle ground, let users DISABLE enemy skins or block certain ones. As insane as this sounds, I would gladly pay a few bucks for the ability to block other skins.

[deleted]

I remember PuBG finishing it’s beta with skins… I could be remembering it that way because I started with Arma2 DayZ, and tried to stay there as long as possible. Stand-alone DayZ pushed me away and into PuBG, where the ‘coolest’ thing at the time was the frying pan blocking bullets.

I don’t agree, but one thing I think should be implemented again for people like yourself is force skinning (not to be confused with foreskinning). In Medal of Honor, you could select skins that you see. I don’t see why that would be impossible now.

That's actually a really cool idea. I'd love to see that in games.

Why Titanfall 2 was gold and Apex is dog shit

Blank adapters.

Every new COD game. Battlefield just looks like that from the start now.

Battlefield only got goofy skins in 5. Bf 4 and 1 literally didn't have character skins

Yes and it’s obviously all downhill from here. 5s uniforms barely even held a resemblance to actual WW2 uniforms. Not that the gameplay was bad but It was just too goofy looking for me after 5. I play PC for my WW2 games now because they ruin all the console releases

I feel your pain.Pubg has now became the same way. My squad and I will be camouflaged up strategizing moving through the woods when all the sudden a lizard, 2 rabbits, and a bear will come running across the open field in front of us being pursued by half the charters from the wizard of oz a kpop star and a mid evil knight. Kills the vibe.

Tarkov time

"Morty! Im in Rainbow Six Siege Morty! I'm Siege Rick!"

Mfw we didn't get the 1,239th gray skin with black goggles and a black standard issue rifle 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬😡😡🤬😠😠😡😡😡🤬🤬

Have all the clown outfits you want just have ability to turn outfits to default?

This doesn’t happen because y’all keep buying the Easter bunny cosmetics and if you couldn’t show it off it would deter sales.

Doesn’t anyone think of the corporation??

Guys if I don't have my quintillionth tacticool outfit I will fucking shit myself. My immersion needs to be protected when me I'm rushing to spawn-peak

Just like irl everyone looks the same

Stupid Fortnite effect goofy-fying everything

[deleted]

They literally started the trend. How do you even try to argue against that lol.

Laughs in Destiny 2

Destiny's always had wacky armor honestly, the only armor that feels out of place is the Halloween sets that come around

That's a game where it actually makes sense. You're space wizards.

The Rock and Morty skins be pissing me off!!! That rat skin for Smoke I think be scaring the hell outta me 😂

New blanbow blege bad old shlongbow shlege good

Upglows schablese

Nothing is more annoying then dragging around a 50 round starter belt in an M240. Just saying, I’m glad it’s painless in a video game.

Now I want a Blackbeard Snow White bundle, thanks!

People just like goofing around. This meme could work for D&D too, comparing the beginning to where they are now.

I love running around as muppet Thermit and cowboy maestro

Can we really blame devs though when players clearly love it? Like they wouldn't make them if they weren't selling.

See this where kids get triggered. Blame the playerbase for ruining the aesthetic theme of the game for opting for such ridiculous skins and their response ranges from "My money, my choice" to "Military skins are like soooo boring". I mean mfkers!!!! You come to military themed games for entertainment!!! What else did y'all expect from a military themed game? Barbie and Ken outfits?!

Sadly the devs are aware of the fact that current day generation of gamers mostly comprise of these rainbow loving Zoomers and late-90s Millenials. Which is why they keep turning their games into a cartoonish mess. Only the playerbase can bring about the change using their preferences as a weapon, and I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I really miss what this game was.. 😕

Why and how the fuck did this post get so much attention?

why the fuck does this have 45k upvotes

It’s been 3 days… it’s now the most upvoted post on this sub

I remember when this post was first made & was like damn, this sub really made a 5 year old repost the top post all time on this sub, Jesus Christ.

TF2

TF2 actually fits the aesthetic. Siege? Ehhhhhh... I don't know.

TF2 never really took itself seriously and most cosmetics actually got the style of the game (although some are really out of place), but Siege was supposed to be a tactical shooter that was serious, and you can especially see it with all the storytelling they used to do and with the operator videos excluding Blitz. It's just not really comparable

Gamers: We want dick costumes!

DEVS : we did that before you guys even asked.

Gamers: Can you also fix this basic glitch that makes grenades clip through walls by adding a Zero to exactly this single line of codde?

DEVS: This community is toxic and we will be banning any toxic players for any reason at all and offer ZERO recourse.

Looks like a repost. I've seen this image 6 times.

True, but it doesn’t make the game any worse tbh

If they made an operator with some kind of dog function, this game would be 10/10. Now it's only 9/10.

Petition to replace flores drones with bomb dogs

Russian tank dogs ftw

Imagine being a maestro, you just reloaded your alda and then a dog comes running at you ready to unload an entire magazine on his face, that would be great

Yeah the weird skins were never a big deal to me. The Halloween skins were so cool.

Maybe not siege as much as other games. Apex is a good example, I love the gameplay but I find myself thinking about how dumb they make the game look with all of their shitty siins

Oh maybe that’s just a personal thing, I’ve never once bought a skin since they never have truly mattered to me, I know they do to most ppl tho, but to me if a game is fun, it’s fun, regardless of asthetics

BF3 vs BF5

Pain and suffering for all those who were there from the beginning. Tough to see this games current state.

The aesthetic at launch was a large factor of why I picked it up.

Shit got bad after Ela dropped.

Yeah, I stopped playing a season or two after that.

Watching them massacre all of the OG maps with pointless doorways and cat walks is what made me finally uninstall it. What they did to the house map is a crime

For me its that they took out all of the life out of the maps. Just look at old Oregon, Hereford, House... so much more color and character to the maps, now everything's just bland, boxy rooms and hallways.

They really changed the maps? omg lol.

Oh its diablo immortal in beta

sick neon glowing AK bud. here’s a headshot

Is that Zelda in the green hat?!!?

A yes the halo experience in one image

Mobile Game Ads vs Mobile Game Reality

But still no Ghostface like Dead by Daylight or COD and it makes me sad. Wish we could get a Halloween skin on them

Im waiting for this to happen with the new cod

So true tho

this is scarcely accurate

Well, usually it's all the same clown costume based on what's free this week.

pubg that u?

Face palm...smh yup, facts.

Never though I would relate to FPS games, but that’s straight-up “me meeting someone for the first time vs me now that they’re my friend and I can be weird around them.”

I know I quit because of this goofy ass shit. I stopped playing years ago now and this was by far my favorite game

What was even "goofy" in Siege cosmetics years ago?

Any dumb popular games that are not good end up this way.

Yeah they honestly could have way more ideas with military equipment but yeah. Only thing aesthetically that bothers me is how downgraded the lighting and shadows are compared to 2016-2017 R6

Sums up why I stopped playing in 2018

Fo realz

Imagine telling 2016 you that Rick, Morty, Leon, Jill, and Kiryu are gonna be in Siege

I hate this type of shit

That's why I left that game over 1200 hours. Whats wrong with developers? Tom Clancy wrote novels and ubisoft made rainbowsix games with a playable "tactical-realism" and a scenerio. Despite all that stuff, the game become aim challenge, unrealistic and useless operators and their skills. Developers lose the game's soul to make arcade or pubg, valorant, etc. players happy and they had changed the game style. I was happy with E3 trailer. I was playing that game instead of SWAT ,Arma etc. You guys turn that game into fantastic, unrealistic, arcade shit.

It'S JuSt lIkE FoRtNiTe

One of the reasons I stopped playing.

And that’s where everything went wrong

Call of Duty mobile be like

Sometimes video games which based on true story is too surreal.

Ghostface is Cav definitely

How can a video game have seasons?

Se isso não é no Brasil, meu nome não é Irineu

The increasingly weird stuff never bothered me.

Pubg went the same way too, with all those animal costumes

Does it ever bother anybody when the aesthetic of a game is completely shattered for the sake of “new content”? Personally, I feel like it ruins my immersion when my team is kitted up like a proper squad of professionals only to be wrecked by a guy wearing a bucket on their head and spray painted chainmail from the dark ages wielding a bright orange and green harpoon gun.

Yep

New Call of Duty’s

Vanguard literally has Snoop Dogg and people in Godzilla pajamas.

Look what has become of you, a rat in the desert.

The Fortnite effect. The skins have to keep topping each other in how stupid they look or no one will buy. Such a gimmick.

Warden elite skin

Insurgency Sandstorm

I miss Vegas 2 :(

At least it's better than Valorant lol. At least the hit reg is good all I'm saying.

Siege was never hyper-realistic. It wasn’t even realistic

I usually get downvoted when saying this.

Here, have an upvote from an old-school gamer that shares your sentiments.

Next Halloween event: It's Morbin Time

Very accurate

The real reason it’s called “rainbow six”

Idk to be honest I don’t really care. Who cares how other people are customizing their ops?

I'd actually pay for classic Sam Fisher Skin though

It all started with that damn pizza costume

Sledge - Has a hammer.

Iana - Projects holographic clones.

Thatcher - Palm sized EMP device that's targeted to only affect enemies and somehow the damage corrects itself after sometime.

Every defender - pulls out a massive sheet of metal from their ass that can’t be shot through

Mfw Oobeesoft (Greed) doesn't make the most dull and ugly cosmetic ever for 10 dollars 🤬🤬🤬🤬 (It's realistic)

Literally team fortress two

Cope

Ratio

Go ahead, ratio me, you can’t delete everyone’s skins.

Skins ruin videogames.

Kids caused this, its cause of all that Fortnite $$$

Halo and CoD started it so it's our generation that enabled the generation before us to do it to the generation after us.

Siege peaked like 3 years ago. The game is a garbage clown show now. You enter a room and 50 different gadgets fuck you up.

Literally Rainbow 6 Siege. Game was ruined once they started adding goofy skins and magic gadgets.

Why does this always happen?

Don't answer that.

A rhetorical

Q U E S T I O N

Looks legit 😂😜

Fortnite Season 3: Pathetic

Anytime I see Fortnite or CSGO skins or any of the other fps out there with in game purchases I lol because it's so true people just want to dress up as clowns and run around crouching shitting on their victims.

Why do they call them seasons like they're a fucking tv show

This is fortnite

r6 at relase : Everyone new, No one cries about you didnt picked monty, No mommies pie (No smoll Boi :( ) , No Pizza Boi, Stilll... Very fun game.

Rn : Buncha Voice Abusing, Meh characters , Not big enough maps, No map special gadgets,

literally fortnite in a nutshell

Three chapters in, we're now fighting with multiple versions of sentient food, anime cat girls and fucking Rick Sanchez.

And Bruno Mars

Rainbow 6 or ForkKnife?

Siege summed up in a photo. Rainbow Six is dead.

Skins equal cancer

*it's

I'm so tired of quirky bright colored bullshit.

If you want that to be your game, more power to you. But it has to start out that way.

If you want your game to be "taken seriously", tactical military look, then don't have it progress to this.

Im looking at you Siege, COD Warzone, and Battlefield.

Try exploring the indie department. Some really interesting milsim and tactical shooters available there. Currently, the three hottest ones are Ground Branch, Ready or Not, and Zero Hour. All three of them will remind you of old-school R6, GR and SWAT games. None of that cartoonish pixie fairy shit to appease zoomers and early 20s fruitcakes. Just pure military tactical stuff.

Why do all games now have fucking seasons? Piss off.

Because the devs know current-day gamers are dumb enough to dump in their (parents') top buck into pointless and inconsequential ingame goofy cosmestics. So they follow a pattern of a free to play game and then add these "seasons" with purchase-to-get "passes" that grant you such pointless cosmetics. It keeps money flowing into their pockets while the dumb kids justify their stance with arguments along the lines of "military themed skins in a military themed game are boring. I wanna bunny hop around the map wearing a pixie fairy skin." and "Erh mah gawd.... Like... It's my money, my choice. Flip off Boomer".

Worst part is siege has no identity nor soul because of this and shitty lore doesnt help either.

Funny meme

Reposters and karma whores 2hours later ...

this isnt new. so, is already the 2hours later.

It was a DLC

I honestly thought this was a Warzone meme until I checked the sub.

Yeah, fits MW19 better imo.

Nah Bro that's cod

dota and wow shared similar fate

Wondering how long it will take MW2 to devolve into colorful Halloween costumes. On the one hand I'm a sucker for fun pop culture crossovers, on the other I'm playing war games and I think I'd rather have a more immersive experience.

I see Rich from Red Letter Media

Everyone becomes black?

Soldiers to party city advert

That’s a lot of smiles in season 5

only insurgency sandstorm is immune

... as well as Squad, Ground Branch, Ready or Not and Zero Hour. I think Escape From Tarkov also doesn't feature such cartoonish crap either, though I may be wrong a bit.

Call of duty moment

As it should be

Saint's Row in a nutshell

/r/CoDWarzone

Which looks more fun?

At least they took the BFAs off…

Guys look tf2

Unironically, this happened to Vanguard 6 months after launch.

CALL OF DUTY

Warzone vibes

Fortnite be like:

Let me guess call of duty mobile

Pretty much vanguard and warzone

I fucking hate cold war & vanguard with my soul

Fuck off my rainbow is magic outfits are perfect.

I hate the Rick and north skins, it fills me with so much rage

Not for Halo Infinite

IM CRACKING 90s MORTY

Insurgency: Sandstorm

TF2 connaisseurs: "They are the same picture"

accurate

I hate how the visual integrity of a game gets ruined with cosmetics.

Battlefield 2042 except it's the season 5 picture for both titles.

This is literally Counter Strike Nexon just look at 2012 Counter Strike Online and now Counter Strike Nexon Zombie 2022

Fortnite fan here. Can confirm.

Clown games for clown people 🤡

People play this shit?

“Damn we drippin”

CoD Warzone be like

I'm liking the clown with the hammer. New sledge skin?

TBH, GTA was never a serious themed game anyway.

We must not forget that these game companies are still businesses with shareholders expecting increasing profits on a quarterly basis. However they accomplish that, even if it means pumping out absurd micro-transactions that make it incomparable to the original game at launch, it is ultimately what is expected of them in the game of capitalism. If these game companies cannot perform to the level of what is expected of them, then they risk investment and funding from shareholders being lost to another competitor.

The new operator literally looks like an elite skin... How did we go from: Scottish man in counter terrorist uniform with big hammer, to, Asain woman with covid mask and suit with no armor who throws knives or something

Haven't played in a while but after the big disappointment of bf2042, it's sad to see that another game has fallen victim to the monetization of modern gaming. It's in such a bad place modern-day game development. There are always indies I know, but it's sad to see AAA titles going to waste

I switched to indies ages ago. They are doing what AAA devs should have been doing i.e. churning out quality products with innovative ideas.

PUBG

Me and the boys when we buy skins with our mother's credit card

This is also how character creation works out for the Earth Defense Force spinoff EDF Iron Rain.

Warzone ?

To be fair, sillier skins aren’t implemented for no reason. The point of skins is to make money. If they keep putting out sillier skins, chances are that’s what people are really buying.

Hummm…. Just makes me think… are there actual volunteer Gamers fighting in Ukrainian to learn what war is really like…

The front guy’s PEQ position enrages me. I smell corrective training

The same in warzone tbh

Warzone

This is the most Call Of Duty meme i've ever seen

For real. Gaming has fallen off so bad. Still some goodies out there though.

Don't forget about that one guy in COD who makes Marijuana his entire personality.

This is literally how Modern Warfare is too lmao

This is how happened with call of duty mobile, ahh, was a good game at the beginning, today is an another childish colorful Fortnite without construction, the AAA selling strategies are a lot of trash, this is why western games actually sucks

Stopped playing call of duty mobile the moment i saw santa claus in a mech

People really upvoted this reposted tired old meme to almost 60k? wtf.

Looked like PUBG

Lol wtf how'd this get so much traction
