Actually relatable, I was at the autumn fair in Dresnden last year, about to enjoy some of the fairs foods and some mcdonalds when a pride protest/parade/possible attack started, suddenly there was so many police officers everywhere, while the priders blasted some unholy edm/hardbass idk then started protesting in english, not about rights, no, they wanted privelages, they also didnt want to be frowned upon even though they just ruined a very nice and traditional fair, after that our tour guides decided it's time for us to go and they ficking blocked the very road we were taking to leave, our bus driver was next level pissed, took a detour through some part of town, driving like a heist getaway driver There were some mha cosplayers there, ig that was nice, they werent protesting, just sitting by the mcdonalds Missed my chance to ride the small ferris wheel

I've heard about many attacks against queer people in Dresden. Just recently there were 5 attacks in a row that sparked some protest but you mentioned that it happened last year and in case you remembered the date I could figure out the context of it etc..
Legal Protest can't block roads on their own. That's normally organized by the police or is being prepared in the morning with the information about a protest being publicized so it doesn't get in the way of the road people wanna take etc..

Yeah no worries I believe you that it happened. I just wanna know context as there have been many attacks on queer people in the past few years and it confused me that there would be protests about additional privileges of queer people when this is still happening and an actual important issue.

They lay out their protests roads like usual so maybe your tour driver's organisation missed out on that information.
The roads fit with area you described so maybe there was something like that. But I couldn't find any information about them protesting for increased privileges as it seamed to be a causal CSD protest.
