Holy fuck it got better. You have great taste

Ikr. Holy shit. Hidden wine cellar.

Oh no, home invaders! How about a nice 2016 Cabernet…

That’s hilarious!

Well great taste and $$. Ha

Wow. You're living the life my guy!

What do you do for a living and what part of America is this home from?

Oregon— was in softwood lumber. I did have a lot of say in this house. Selling her now.

Curious how much this goes in your neck of the woods.

Here in greater Toronto, ON this is approx $2-4M depending on the neighbourhood

Under $2m.

I don’t know how to put this in words, never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I could ever have a house like that but because of the pandemic our home value jumped almost 60% and is now in the 1.5 mil territory. It’s absolutely bananas that my 2k~ SqFt home could put me in striking distance of something like this.

California real estate is bananas.

Sounds like you need to send OP a message ;)

My sister and brother inlaw bought a house in bay area for around 1.7 mil in 2019. They say they're about to sell it now and it'll go for at least 2.8. Granted its within 3 miles radius of apple headquarters but still. Crazy part is, their house is a fucking shack compared to this.

Yep. Same. Insane.

Are you in the boonies?

Just outside Portland.

ok but what about more like zero dollars but it goes to an amazing dog and ok-ish person?

lmao i can’t believe someone downvoted you, you were clearly joking xD

:( i didn’t even notice - but I was indeed ā€œdoing a bit,ā€ as the kids say. low on sleep so maybe it was more dumb than funny. either way I appreciate your niceness.

To let Champion run around the woods while you and Andy get away from everyone?

hmmm I feel like this is a reference I’m supposed to understand

LoI kind of thought your comment was a reference to parks and rec, One of the characters buys a cabin for loose change for herself and her three legged dog. (And husband)

oh!! haha into it. I don’t remember the episode but now i get the reference. I have my version of a loose-change cabin (house) and champion, but need to work on finding an Andy

4M easy in Toronto. With that property/water view I’m sure it would be more. A house on my street just went for over 4M and it is smaller than this, and I’m not really close to downtown, it gets more expensive as you go in further (like check the sold (not list) prices somewhere like Little Italy, 2M only gets you a dingy semi).

Yeah I was giving a range and also talking in USD. In Toronto proper this house would be $4.8M CAD. Although prices are actually coming down

Ok yeah USD makes sense. I’m not too confident prices are falling though, like I see there was small dip month over month, but prices are still up like 20% YoY and I’m not expecting a significant correction. That 4M house I mentioned just sold for over 1M over asking a couple weeks ago, by far the craziest thing this neighbourhood has seen.

1M over is not really healthy

[deleted]

Oh good catch lol. Pretty road though!

In Whitby 45 min out of Toronto, 2m doesn't even get you this anymore

How much you think it’ll sell for?

I’ll give you $3.50

Sold!

Clearly not the Loch Ness monster.. I’ll have my people send over the paperwork.

😱 how can you leave this place?

Do you have to sell it or you want to? Seems hard to believe anyone would want to move out of this. Sorry just curious

Can you adopt me? K thanks ā˜ŗļø

holy shit it keeps getting better!

Wow nice. Did you have much say/role in the design of the house?

Wow. It's gorgeous

You must have visited the Netherlands a lot, am I right?

Your house is beautiful

DUDE … a secret wine cellar behind the bookshelf?? :o

This couldn’t get any better! What’s the reaction of people that see the hidden basement for the first time? :D

It is accessed with a book that hides a mercury switch. Move the book, the door creaks open. I’ve had people literally falling over in amazement. Good fun.

You mind sharing a video of that? It really sounds so amazing! :o

Christ, I aspire to have money like that one day

Wow, sir what do you for living?

Can we get a video please?

I say this in the nicest way possible. Fuck you, man.

Good fucking lord this is a nice house

I want your house

[removed]

Retired years ago. But thanks.

Lmao. Calm down guy.

Calm down Eugene Debbs he's not Jeff Bezos.

User name checks out!

I’m with you tbh. I really liked the library. When I saw the rest my brain was just like ā€œfuck this guyā€.

[removed]

If you actually took the time to browse our sub by "new" more regularly, you would see that it is nothing of the sort.

This whole place is faaaar too bright for my tastes. WAY too many windows.

More pics here. Note the secret wine cellar is in my Cozy library room.

How to add more pics?

Use Imgur like the ancient Redditors did.

Old person here! Are the youths of today not using imgur?

Just hosting on Reddit itself now.

Imgur and post a link

What do/did you do for work?

Imgur album. Then post the link!

[deleted]

I would strongly advise against posting your address on Reddit.

Agree with the above. Beautiful house and I appreciate your sharing it but you may want to delete this post with the link since it has your address.

[deleted]

Deleted. It was for sale so it was online recently though….

May I ask how much the asking price was/is?

+1 to the other comment on this — you really shouldn’t post your address

You should take this down, buddy. I (and others) can see exactly where you live.

You should def delete this. It has your address right there.

Drooling

That’s why there’s puddles on the floor.

Maybe a dog?

More likely a recent mopping.

And why the books are up high.

[removed]

For fuck sake I didn’t need to read that!

Ok so you win. Where is this and who was the architect? It feels like it has sea ranch vibes

This gives me Estate vibes from Modern Warfare 2

So many great memories.

Sending javelins from the big windows down the hill or from the bedroom balcony to the boat house. Takes me back.

Oh my the memories you sent to my brain with this comment. All the getting sniped, all the running around trying to flank the house…

West Linn, Oregon. I believe the architect was Richard White. Built in 2004.

Agreed, the books floating above one's field of vision has "sea ranch vibes"

The windows! šŸ˜

With no blinds or curtains :/ not so cozy...yet

For the lower ones I agree but man the upper windows are so pretty. I don’t think I’d ever cover them just so I could stare at the sky lol.

[deleted]

... what's that about locking up

[deleted]

That's not terrifying at all. No. Not like it was owned by serial killers...

Definitely, couldn't use that computer thinking that the neighbours down the road there are watching me through a telescope :/

Maybe for the purposes you'd use it for šŸ˜‚

Also, this house seems so nice but I can see another house close by. If I had the money for such a nice place I wouldn’t want my neighbors peering in my windows easily.

I read in the nude.

They could be on outside..

I don’t have any curtains/blinds on my windows but I don’t have anyone who can see directly into my living room! I kinda like the openness…afraid to get them and hate the closed-off feeling. Sort of creepy at night (if someone was outside watching me) but they’d be bored stiff, I’m sure!

Some velvet curtains would cozy it up

Much better without blinds and curtains

Too much cleaning needed.

Love your flooring! What is it?

Thanks! I believe it’s Brazilian Cherry.

I have Brazilian cherry in my bedroom. Beautiful wood, but very soft. Scratches and dents easy.

Fucking gorgeous

This would not work out for me. I tend to combine wine and books. That ladder after a few glasses would cause my demise.

That’s hilarious!

The real hilarious part is that I read as voraciously as I drink. I'd finish a book and try to get another and it would be something right out of Poe novel, candles still lit and me, dead, wine still chilled to perfection, horror novel open and on the floor.

I'm the last person I would have suspected, but it was me the whole time!

Even more dangerous when you see that one of the bookshelves has a hidden wine cellar behind it.

French cleats for the book shelf cubbies? Curious how they were attached

Book shelve units were lag bolted into the studs.

Please tell me it rains a lot wherever you are because that is a dream room i didn't even know i was dreaming about

Oregon. Rain and more rain.

Maybe my favorite post ever in this sub.

My wife took one look at this and said "too much direct sunlight on the books, not enough bookshelf space for me. Really nice tho"

Actually, the room has a northern exposure and since I’m in Oregon we see more rain than sunshine. So far there hasn’t been much fading going on.

not enough bookshelf space

Agree. More of a study than a library.

I have more books in my bedroom than this guy has in his 'library'.

And that one empty shelf is really bothering me for some reason.

Same lol. I thought it was really nice at first (and it is) But I don’t think it would even store half of the books I already own

[OC]

I would politely suggest centering the rug between the two matching chairs so that each chair's front feet are on it. I think it would look better.

I was thinking about that rug too. I was thinking more of a shag would make it look more cozy.

love it. such a unique room

Thanks! I believe it’s Brazilian Cherry.

perhaps its time to move out of the city

So perfect man. I wish to have something like this too.

Incredible šŸ˜

It’s gorgeous!! Perfect place to be on a rainy day with a cup of tea šŸ˜

I’d die happily in a room like that lol

Did anyone else swipe to the right to see the fireplace?

This person's house is like the library on Myst Island

I played that game and perhaps It influenced me… nice observation.

It's a landmark game. Beautiful environments (for it's time).

Can I come over for a couple nights?

Me two, I’ll bring Parcheesi!

Where’s that?

What a dream

Er.... Very few books...

Pretty cool,I can help but feel kinda depressed to see these big houses when I can even afford a decent apartment at my city šŸ˜“

Well, I’m selling it and moving into a 1929 bungalow, 1100 sq ft. Going to have a project in my retirement.

Absolutely stunning home, I’m certain your new bungalow will be nothing short of stellar as well!

Very kind you are.

[deleted]

A lifetime of missteps; bad decisions and some dumb luck. Leaving this house soon… next owner will take over. 17 years here and I turned this one room into an almost perfect getaway place…. Cheers brah… find your place.

See, this is not what I would call cozy. Cool, impressive, but not cozy, fireplace or not. I’d feel any warmth would go right up to the ceiling and leave me in a draught from those windows.

Right? There's no way the fireplace is of any practical use.

You’re living my dream here. Congrats, this is gorgeous!

I don't understand why they would put the bookshelves so high. Not very practical.

For the view

The view of what? If anything, at that height they're blocking the view.

There was just dead space above the lower windows... I added the shelves and the ladder to break up the 20 foot ceilings. Its easy to read the titles and for practical purposes, I am not on the ladder every day..

I actually came to comment that this is the best use of that dead space on these style of window walls. I absolutely love that you turned it in to bookshelves. These huuuuge walls of windows always seem very 90s to me and have that big empty gap between them. This is great IMO. It really warms the room and is also functional.

At that height the average person can see outside easily and when you're sitting you can see outside as well. You'd have to be really tall to have your view blocked.

It looks nice, and for practicality you can always put the books that you've read and probably won't read again for a long time up there.

I think op wanted to make the room look spacious and neat. It is comfy and aesthetically pleasing tho!

As someone with a lot of books, believe me, you squeeze those shelves in every damn gap that you can!

Amazing room, well done!

Hot damn, now this is heaven

Holy cow this is amazing.

I would like to come over and borrow a book and then stay a while. It's beautiful.

This is beautiful.

Holy shit I'm jealous. This is beautiful

You forgot to mention there’s also an entrance to the wine cellar on the right!

This is amazing…love all the big windows too. Would be perfect to sit in there and read on a rainy day ā¤ļø

Where did you get those chairs? I've been looking for good library chairs like that.

U need some curtains or blinds. Neighbors can watch you watching porn.

I'm going to need you to move out and give me the keys.

Gorgeous room, I love wood and this room makes perfect use of it.

I can’t believe people live in places like this!

Holy shit you win.

Cries in broke college student

Awesome

Just needs a chessboard between those two chairs

ā€œWhy do you get the ottoman AND all the rug???ā€ – The other chair

I’m a home builder/decorator and this is spectacular. Love everything about it and very practical too.

This appears quite impossible to achieve. Please do tell us, how did you make this happen? I only yearn for a cozy space like this. Thank you!

I want this home

i am begging you to fill it with plants

What a beautiful space.

Knowing myself, no one of those books would be read.

[deleted]

Dude went for the Library in Skyrim

There’s literally no fire place

https://m.imgur.com/a/Xr3hVTP

There we go, awesome room! Super jealous

Looking for a paying roommate? Haha

Wow dude this is so tastefully done.

bro, what motivated you to put the book so high up that it requires an additional tool to get access to the literature?

Nice, you could sit on the chairs reading together with your SO and footsie on the footstool

Really cool looking but you need more books!

I would definitely get ontop of those bookshelves

They are practically inviting me

I’ve dreamt about having a room like this since I was a kid

Gorgeous

I think tall ceilings often negate coziness, but with the warmth of the wood and decor you've managed to overcome this obstacle. Jim-dandy indeed.

I want your house. Give me address.

After putting up bookshelves, rubs hands together: "Right, that'll stop me reading those damn things"

You need some green plants!

Where’s Don Draper ?

This place looks awesome. I’m sure this would go for 3m+ where I live and will never be achievable or affordable. Never new a cozy place can make someone sad

That is awesome!

Coziness +5. Totally checks out. No need for banana for scale. Approved.

While the shelves and ladder a neat idea, the books aren't terribly accessible for the older or injured folks. Kinda wasted vertical space up there. That aside, nice setup.

Great room! But the logistics of selecting a book vs. grabbing the remote would curtail my reading somewhat.

Beautiful! What type of floors are those ?

Stunning! Curious why you did not continue with the wood up top- but guessing it was a light issue. Really well done!

Top tier, my man.

That is really wonderful. Nice work

This is so dope

[deleted]

I could relax here all day! This gives me kind of a Fifty Shades of Grey/Twilight/You type of feel lol I don’t know why but I absolutely love it

tasteful. that looks awesome.

I’m. In. Awe.

Like

Wow

Wowoow

I am so jealous. I'll admit it. You have a wonderful home!

I would be totally happy if I could live in this room forever. I hope you appreciate how lucky you are everyday. Congrats and thank you for sharing!

Very kind. Thank you!

Jesus Christ I have never been more jealous

You are living my dream

Please tell me there’s a nice fireplace in there.

Fuck you this is amazing

Shit this is nice

This is my dream

I think you must get paid more than I do. Beautiful space.

This is trippy. I had a dream once where the house I was in looked like this.

I want to marry you and move in with some of my books. Age and gender doesn’t matter. That’s how much I love this place šŸ˜€

I dream of this.

SO COOL!

I NEED this

I can taste the wood.

Hey can you like, give me your house? For free? So I can live in it instead of you?

I’ll send you the address. Bring wine.

Hell yeah!!!

This is absolutely stunning. I’m so jealous. But the books are so far away! I would move the desk in front of a window and make that a wall of more books. šŸ˜

But it is beautiful as is. I would never leave. I’d just need a butler to bring me food. Heaven.

Such kind words; thank you…

What do you do for a living, asking for a friend.

Was in the lumber business. Kind of retired now. Still dabble.

Adopt me 🄰

Oh my goodnessšŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

The dream house! Looks awesome, OP

So I'm going to need to get your address because WOW! I'm a designer and I'm very impressed.

I’m selling her after 17 years here. My next place is a bungalow built in 1929 and it’s somewhere between a fix me upper and a blow me upper! If you’re serious about it doing interior design work, then keep in touch! I am in Oregon…

sometimes i think i don’t care if i ever have a lot of money or not, but then i see things like this

Lovely! But you need more books to make those shelves justice.

It looks like it came straight out of Sims4

I mean that as a compliment btw

i lurk a lot on here but this post just won my heart.

What I wouldn't give to have this kind of money

Love this space

Surrounded by books is a good design

Nice space! But, please for the love of God, paint your window trim on the high windows to match the lower windows.

Thank you! The upper window trims are painted molding, probably MDF. The lower windows are cased in solid cherry. Probably should have swapped that out years ago, but never really noticed… LOL

I can see why you wouldn't notice, with the all the books and views outside lol

Not at all cozy. Very awesome though.

Not sure about that ladder.

It’s actually very stout! I am a big guy and it doesn’t even squeak. I think it was made with solid cherry.

I was more worried about it sliding, rather than breaking.

Usually there are braking wheels at the bottom of the ladder so when you step onto it, it can't move

Beautiful. What do you do for work? Haha

This is the room I have always wanted.

Hey. Love the room, obviously! But can I suggest...

Based on how much time/money/effort you've put into this space, please look into a much more interesting and larger rug. That rug is a basic design I've seen in countless people's dingy apartments (and nice ones). The rug could really bring this room together if you find the right one. I'm thinking Red or dark Blue, Persian or crisp geometrical if that's your groove.

Yes, thank you for the positive feedback. I had a beautiful red/black geometric wool rug in there 6ā€˜ x 9ā€˜. My mini Australian shepherd would chew the corners of it if I left him alone too long. I finally tossed that rug and bought the one in there now as I put the house on the market recently… You nailed it though, a nice rug brings the whole room together.

Ahhhh, got it. That makes sense. I have a new dog, and I can feel your pain. He loves the pads under the rug that hold it in place. Maybe look into a really low pile rug? Perhaps the dog couldn't really chew on that as much

Cozy? It twice the size of my apartment

That's beautiful and very spacious, but spacious is kind of exactly the opposite of cozy, isn't it?

Fire going, rain outside… designed for just two humans and a dog. It’s pretty, pretty cozy!

I wish I loved books this much.

[deleted]

he right tho

[deleted]

dude I just scrolled through ur comments u are such a bitter person, go get some friends or get laid or something

[removed]

I strongly disagree with you, the wood + lighting bring a real warmth to the room imo. Although I would have chosen a different color for the higher walls, I really dig this library.

I’m curious, what recommendations would you have?

This is a ā€œcan’t missā€ space and it easily strikes out in this current configuration. Do you honestly believe a space with this level of volume can be cozy with the present fixtures? It is called synergy for a reason and the room lacks it. Of course any fool can label this interior warm and whatever with the overuse of wood elements and disparaging palette. You asked for suggestions but it is easier to just interpret the critique. Volume, Lighting/ Natural Lighting/ Hard corners vs. soft etc… sometimes it pays to simply do nothing until you truly understand where you are standing/sitting.

I’m sorry - cozy and owning a home library are polar opposites.

Wtf this isn’t cozy this is a spacious dream. Cozy is soft and small and warm.

This is large and spacious, and while beautiful, not cozy.

Deforesting the Brazilian rainforest for your floor.... AWESOME!!! BWAHAAAAAHAAA

You need binoculars if you want to browse book titles...

Eyes still capable at this point! 60 right around the corner though….

Just curious as to who doesn't know what books they have in their own library.

I like to browse books when visiting friends. Or second hand bookshops.

Me too. I guess OP will just have to have a pair of library binoculars to loan his friends when they visit 🤪.

I think I have a pair of German-made library binoculars laying around somewhere here...

It's great that you left the windows open to natural light. I presume you're quite young yet and not afraid to climb the ladder even after a few years. Or maybe switch to a Kindle.

It's really nice and all but those bookshelfs are way to small.

Any favorite books? Man would be a dream to sit around in the rain.

Omg this is the dream, can you adopt me

Looks fantastic, anymore angles?

https://imgur.com/a/Xr3hVTP

A secret wine cellar!?!! Looks amazing, thanks for sharing!

I love this. I've always wanted a ladder like that.....

Are those chairs custom or can I find them somewhere?

They are old... Mitchell Gold. purchased 2008?

This is literally my dream library. It's AWESOME. Where do you even get a ladder like that?

custom made. my carpenter angled it so it works around the desk. solid cherry.

Who was your design and build company, if you don't mind me asking? Gorgeous!

Turn that desk around. You can enjoy the views outside.

Can I pop over to up a few books?

Damn those are some high ceilings.

I love wood

Gorgeous!

That's so nice! Wtf! I wanna recreate it in my shitty apartment somehow.

I love everything about this except that light hanging down. Idk why but it just looks like out of place

That is where I sit and read. The light acts like a reading lamp.

Dang, that's sweet.

Wow niceā£ļøā£ļøā£ļø

In a word: yummmmm :)

My series of emotions looking at your room and loving the windows while experiencing anxiety over sun-faded book spines: šŸ˜šŸ˜¬

I'm raging with jealousy. Very cool.

the glare from the windows would obscure my kindle screen……

Loving it, oh my. The leather chairs, perfect place for home based mini book club

How pretty

This is actually my literal dream den

Only thing that'd make it better is a big lake out the window

Jealous

Love the idea of the bookshelves up high to keep the windows!

Oh, yay, wasted heat.

Looks super nice. Could never keep my books in there though. So much light. Maybe with blackout blinds that I could raise when I’m in there though.

Absolutely gorgeous. 10/10 would chill in.

What’s the ID on your chairs/where did you get them?

Mitchell Gold

Thank you. Are those the Hunter?

https://www.mgbwhome.com/hunter-leather-chair/1327-005L.175476.html?cgid=All_Seating_Accent_Chairs

Aside from the legs, those look very similar!

Thanks for your help.

Funny enough, I take the legs off my leather furniture—first it was so I didn’t have to keep fetching balls out from under it for my dogs. But as a bonus, it makes a low-ceilinged room look taller!

I have an RH deep Manchester (actually bought from Casco Bay who uses the original North Carolina manufacturer for RH). Looking for good chairs and a second smaller couch now though.

Check them out if you’re in the market. More affordable, higher quality cushions, made in the US, and I’ve been so happy with the customer service over the 10 years I’ve had the piece. https://www.cascobayfurniture.com

This looks like somewhere I would spend hours in, great custom design. Although it hurts looking at all those books exposed to the fireplace smoke.

It’s gas. No smoke!

Nice! You planned for everything lol

If only I could afford that

So what do you do? What career can give me money enough to afford such luxuries?

Where are the plants?

What movie set you living in man, this is too nice

Beautiful, and cozy, but it looks incredibly inconvenient, if you actually want to read your books.

Is that a full collection of Great Books of the World? I've got the same collection in my shitty bookcase here. How'd you come across it?

You nailed it. My mother left them to me. Every once in a while, I climb up and grab one.

Legitimately great reads and I love how those books are made. I actually got my own collection off eBay from a joke bid of $200 for the whole collection. My mom was pissed when she found all these heavy boxes at her doorstep but it was well worth it

The only thing that would make this place better for me would be some automatic blinds and a stereo for some coffee house jazz.

I AM IN LOVE, I WANT..I WANT!!!

Omg… a DREAM

Please can I live there?

What happens when you get too old to climb the ladder?

I wouldn't want to leave.

So my parents had a big library which looked like something out from a movie, it looked very nice. You didn't have to use ladder and it was still like 99% of the books hadn't been moved in decades, just dust removed. I feel like with a ladder like this 99,99% of the books won't be moved or used in decades. Such a pain in the ass.

*contented sigh*

Love the room, not enough books.

This is so pretty

šŸ˜³šŸ«¢šŸ˜§šŸ¤—šŸ„°šŸ„°šŸ„°šŸ„°

That’s definitely my definition of cozy. I think that’s the size of my entire house.

I would never leave this room! I love the natural light and how the bookcases do not block the view.

I would never read a book if I had to climb a ladder to get to it.

Mentor me

Love it

Do You even read bro

Yep. Saving this bad boy. Very jealous.

Would you like to adopt an adult? I'm open to it.

I want to sit in that room.

Yo I wanna chill there

It is very pretty, I would place my desk looking outside instead of the wall. Dream windows.

This is the way to live

Dayum, your personal library is bigger than my house

I see you went for all of the looks and none of the practicality

I added the bookshelves, the cable lighting and the ladder after I bought the house. The room was too tall with 20 foot ceilings. This way we get plenty of light in gray Oregon it makes the room feel much more cozy.

unfortunately not enough space for my books and comics. also... I couldn't be bothered to climb a ladder everytime I want to read something.

Oommmggg 🄺 so jelly

Wow, this is stunning! I would never want to leave the room šŸ˜‚

Nice room but far from "cozy."

As a librarian, hell no!

Don’t get me wrong, this is an objectively beautiful space. But it would scare me.

The ladder should, ideally, be a hook top ladder so if it slips, you still have a point of contact with the shelf and don’t fall and hurt yourself. Of course, that would require reinforcing the wall.

As often as I have to get books, I’d slowly abandon the book cases above the windows.

I’d also have LED lighting around the inside of the book shelf because finding a book at night might be more difficult unless you a light on your head.

And the benefit of putting the books higher is to avoid directly sunlight, which can fade book covers. We have some books that get sunlight and within a months, you can see some fading. With the windows above the cases, you basically just have less accessible books.

Idk, it looks beautiful, but functionally, not what I’d go with.

Wow! Saved and added to the photos I will show my future architect when building my dream home šŸ˜

I’d probably climb on top of the shelves and just chill up there

Absolutely gorgeous.

Looks great. I had the same chairs but sold them. Just a little too deep to get comfortable without sliding down.

Simply amazing

I use to have a library in my first house like this. Really miss it

This library looks so good, but not the most convenient

2 questions here : 1) are you planning to add more shelves on top of those on the right /top of the fireplace? 2) why aren't we friends?

No more shelves. I’m always looking for new friends!

Nice! But you definitely need a better looking bin!

Too much window not enough book

Wow and the icing is the lake view outside.

Looks great, but honestly not a very practical setup to get your books.

Yeah it's nice, but it's the worse possible place to put books if you intend on reading them.

Not into the white window frames at the top

And the pee on the floor? Dog or cat, elderly human?

My boyfriend thinks this is entirely inconvenient fir a library lol. I love it tho šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

I added the shelves, the ladder and lighting etc., to break up the 20’ walls and bring the room ā€œcloser inā€ and more quaint. It wasn’t a case of wanting to climb a ladder to fetch books! The secret wine cellar underneath and the fireplace make this my fav room in the house.

If I had to climb a ladder to grab a book I would never ever read one

Your Library is as big as my house

I'd fill the room with plants ! I love it!

"Here's some stuff I bought."

Looks like novigrad in witcher 3

I live in an unfinished basement in the Philly ghetto, but I’m willing to trade with you if I absolutely must.

I did not know my dream library had big windows and natural light, but now I do šŸ˜

šŸ˜
