I am amused that I could not post the original title because it had the word "sheep".

That is really fucking stupid.

Sheep

Sheep

SHEEP SHEEP SHEEP

SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP

doomer

What did they change the title to?

The software did not let me post the original title, complaining about the word "sheep", so I changed it to the one shown.

Sounds like she knows her classmates pretty well.

If your views aren't aligned with the elite mainstream, you don't have a whole lot of choices.

On the whole university and college students worldwide were among the most compliant. In the case of Ivy League, they are not future leaders for the most part but 'organisation men and women' so they will not rock the boat.

My peers and I are often told that we are the future leaders of America. We may be the future decision makers, but most of us aren’t leaders. Our principal concern is becoming members of the American elite, with whatever compromises, concessions and conformity that requires. The inability of Harvard students to question or oppose these irrational bureaucratic excesses bodes ill for our ability to meet future challenges.

Being a Ph.D. student, I've had a pretty sad reflection when nobody from my group replied after I posted a link to a scientific paper questioning vaccination of children and questioning mass vaccination for the majority of people. I mean I would expect any answer. And I know most of them are now about to take their boosters but honestly it's so hard to even bring up the subject of mandates and restrictions and their merit. It's like nobody does that and the situation is so out of this world, people are afraid to cough after they choke on water because other people will think they have covid. Hell, I'm sure people are afraid to bring up vaccines, mandates, and restrictions because they're afraid of being attacked and called selfish or stupid for even asking "hey guys, are we sure they mean well? has anyone checked if it's true what they're saying on TV".

The author is a brave young woman. No doubt she will be hounded and ostracized by most of her peers, but voices like these are more important than ever.

Absolutely spot on. Great article.

Funny, I also went to a similar kind of “elite” university but won’t say which one. Thank god I graduated a couple years ago. I would’ve probably dropped out if I was subjected to all the covid bullshit.

I’ll never look at my peers the same way again…

I guess college reunions are out of the question? Lol. I feel the same way as you.

Those are a thing??!!

lol. I have never been to one, i guessed those were still a thing.

Graduated in the 90s - no need to do reunions if you can see what they’re all doing on social media, especially Facebook.

I'm terrified by the idea of having these crazies end up being company managers in 10 years. When that happens it's time to run away fast.

They already are.

yeah but these are old school Harvard graduates. It means it's gonna be worse in 10-20 years

Corporate HR is full of them. No one diversity, equity, and inclusion departments/staff 15 years ago.

They are likely to be even more conformist. Of course their future is uncertain. Then again so is ours.

I still feel we’ve been cheated.

Many of these traditions and activities won’t return bc they cost too much and there now aren’t enough people to support them. They’ll blame the pandemic, not the panic, not the mandates.

I almost always like the wsj

Silly gringos

Thanks for your submission, but as a non-partisan sub we do not accept content that takes a partisan perspective or disparages a specific political affiliation.

Covid is political, haven't ya heard? One party took our freedom and one party wants to give it back. Is it being political to state facts?

Kinda sad reading that, but also probably very accurate to say that post Covid life for these people is likely they similar to pre-Covid life.
