first amendment only applies to government applications and not private business. It only states that the government cannot prohibit you right to free speech in any law or bill proposed.
if a platform like twitter or reddit explicitly says not to say certain things in their terms of service, they are completely in the right and you can be punished justly.

This is a neolib talking point and isn’t really accurate. Look up Marsh v. Alabama. The case was about someone preaching in a privately-owned town/square that allowed public access. Basically, the more open to the public a platform/place is, the more the First Amendment applies. Social media is the modern version of the public square, and if you support private companies having complete control over the majority of public discourse you’re retarded. They’re technically in the right, but the spirit of the law clearly goes against it.
I don't think damaging speech is protected though. Like if I went around spreading lies about an ex to try and ruin her life, that kind of speech isn't protected by the first amendment. I still think they're really dumb, I mean in high school, id doxx the school and they could only figure out that it was "coming" from south America, when in reality its just me sitting with a VPN not wanting to sit and watch the teachers stupid podcasts. I'm pretty sure this would be one of the hardest laws to enforce only since the internet inherently allows for total annominity if its user wants it.
