Yeah, but then they followed it up with a poor-looking mobile game that was basically only C&C in name.
EDIT: I've been told they came out two years apart, with the remastered collection coming out second. As it turns out, they were announced at the same time, which is why I thought I remembered remastered coming first.

Check out OpenRA if you haven't already, all the game without the crap that comes with "remasters" or trying to make an old game work on new hardware.
