I have a Finnish relative who explained to me that this guy is from a sparsely populated, rural area of Finland called Lapland, and that laplanders are sort of regarded as backwards hillbillies. So the video and haircut makes a bit more sense with context.

I think I get the joke! So we have this Finnish friend that sends coffee beans to us, and he also sent us a mug to drink it with. The mug is like half the volume of standard American mugs. Considering that the bread here is tiny by comparison, I'm guessing this is a pseudo-commentary joke about American serving sizes.
