Yep, prototype is pretty much the most frustrating game you could imagine.
Or you could just download the flash projector and associate it with SWF files.
Since Adobe keeps an archive of flash projectors, you can download old versions for flashes that don't work on current flash as well.
Yeah but flashpoint takes care of that and the games for you and works for other kinds of old web games. It also tricks games that only have certain features on one domain.

Super late but in addition to some SWF files being sitelocked there are also some that make server lookups in order to grab things like level, sound, and graphics data. That's happening under the hood every time you saw a flash game with a loading bar. Flashpoint has that covered too, since the original hosts might not still have the relevant files.
Too bad there's no online alternative for Flash, because websites like https://thebest404pageeverredux.com are totally unusable without its contents loading immediatelly.

I feel like most people forget to go back through their saved posts. If I'm commenting for a reminder on something I usually state it's because I don't look at my saved posts, although I understand and expect downvotes when I do so

I've saved tons of stuff, and I go through it every few months and just browse it like I browse Reddit normally. Because by the time I've gone through I've forgotten most of the memes, and I never originally got through most of the askreddit type posts I've saved, it's like having a day of browsing Reddit every few months where every post is fire.
I still donāt understand though why save doesnāt save the comment, just ābookmarksā it.

RES has a save-RES feature that saves the original locally.
Reddit's native save just does what commenting on the post would do anyway. With my very vague understanding of them it probably lets them better comply with data protection laws. If an EU citizen asks for their data to be deleted these days you've got to wipe all of it. That doesn't work with what you want from them.
Iād guess it also helps with peopleās privacy - saving comments that reveal a userās personal information doesnāt seem like itās be very good, and not to mention comments that break Redditās Rules. It was just a little jarring to see some of the comments I had saved (mostly stupid jokes to be honest) disappear.

if you want to truly save something you have to save it offline. I don't particularly fault Reddit for having a fully functional delete feature.

I went through my saved posts once. Apparently some of the older stuff stays saved in the archive, but doesn't stay in your saved tab. I could only go back so far before it stopped letting me go to the next page
