Wow. It's hard to compliment something like this because its beauty is self-evident, but the skill and effort this shows is just incredible. All the fine little details, right down to the movement of the branches when weighted with snow. I could watch this for hours.
Reminds me of the game r/hyperlightdrifter a lot... especially the winter level I played through! Very pretty :)
I started playing it again the last few days and I'm surprised how simple the art is. It's still stylized and great, but I remembered it much more detailed than it is.
Probably because they use detail sparingly but efficiently!
I just beat it last night, best indie game iv played.
Nice!! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I've played it a few times at this point
Id also recommend HOB, amazing game.
hob? what does it stand for?
I don't think it stands for anything! Just Hob!
I'll have to check it out, thanks for the recommendation!
Just the character's name
Same here, its beautiful
my thoughts exactly when I saw this!
Yeah, the North side has some resemblance.
just a shame the core of the game is non existant
The core?
gameplay & story is lacking. it is a pretty game but there just isnt much else besides that
I think the gameplay is actually pretty good (especially when you figure out how to use combos properly), and not all games need to have a fully fleshed out storyline or plot to be decent either. The focus of the game is on atmosphere and I don't think there needs to be a ton more dealt out in the story. Kinda lets the imagination do the work, which I like!
Idk, the gameplay seemed a bit simplistic for me and not too developed. I wouldnt have much an issue with it if the story really made me want to continue playing, but its really bare. I think they went too far on the "simple is better" stuff. a bit of dialogue wouldnt hurt lol
