It’s a Samsung ks8000 I cant tell if it’s curved if it is it’s a ks8500. Sold tvs at bestbuy for a long time.

Well of course there is a new version. Doesn’t come the with the same design as the ku8000 example the very chrome bezel which I thought looked much nicer then Titan grey.

TVs get cycled through quickly. Most manufacturers release at least a new line before each holiday season and discontinue the old one . This TV is from 2016 so it may be hard to find now.

You're not, trust me. That said, It looks like he's only got a PS4 and an AppleTV hooked up, so at worse there's three cables (I don't know where the power cable is at) so there's not a lot to make a mess.

The power cable is on the left. The wire on the right is to a box that contains the inputs.

No you're right, the box in view is an Apple TV. But it is likely connected via HDMI to a hidden box that also connects the PS4.

Nah. I tried organizing but with the TV, cable box, audio equipment, DVD player and not being able to wall mount the TV, it's very messy.

There is a wall-to-wall entertainment center which helps not having to be as neat.

I started playing it earlier this year and it’s legitimately the most fun I’ve had in a video game in ages.

What’s the campaign like?

For Siege? There isn’t one. It’s solely multiplayer

This is getting out of hand.

Now there are two of them!

Basically non existent. There are some training missions but they take like less than an hour to complete. Besides that the only PvE is terrorist hunt which isn’t story based at all. It’s a great game but it’s really not worth getting if you don’t want to play multiplayer.

Ok I appreciate that. I know nothing about it, obviously, except for random things I’ve seen throughout Reddit and it looks like a good game. I like a good campaign though

/r/Rainbow6 for more of you’re interested. 600+ hours on PC and probably 50+ on PS4 and I see no sign of stopping. There’s annoying things but there’s no game like R6 and it’s constantly getting fixes and a new map+2 new characters(called Operators) JUST came out a week or 2 ago.

I loved R6 Siege until I found PUBG haha. I've had a really fun last couple years of video games.

I actually moved from PUBG to R6. I found that once the initial rush wears off with PUBG it gets pretty boring. There’s too much down time and the actual combat isn’t that great.

Which is why I went from PUBG to Fortnite.

Fair enough, I’ve just never been able to get into fortnite personally. Not a fan of the cartoony aesthetic or the building or third person combat lol. But that being said it seems like a great game and epic has done an amazing job supporting it.

I was a big Fortnite hater for a while too. Maybe not a hater, but I always leaned towards PUBG for its realism.

What i like about Fortnite is the quick action, fast load times, higher consistency vs PUBG (which doesn’t say much), and the goofiness of it all. Once you become somewhat proficient at spamming walls and ramps, which isn’t too terribly hard to figure out, then that’s where you start having more fun.

I couldn’t stand getting the first shot on someone just to have them instantly drop a wall then kill me.

USE BUILDER PRO CONTROLS (not default)

I like the combat. Yeah the looting gets a little boring if you jump remote but I'm always playing with friends and jumping big cities so it's always fresh for me.

Siege is a great game. It’s nothing like COD though, so keep that in mind. It’s easily the best game I’ve played in the last couple of years.

Yup. Searched on youtube and looks fun. Like dota.

If you do get into it, just know that initially you will be horrible. And even at 10-20 hours in, you still may be horrible. It takes a while to find your preferred setting and even longer to learn the maps. But eventually you start getting headshot, and you learn that if you shoot a hole in a certain spot it opens up a sneaky sightline, and you find your favorite "operators" out of a varied selection of abilities and weapons and it becomes your favorite game of all time.

Source: I'm dozens, if not hundreds of hours in, and I'm still learning about this wild ride called Siege.

I don't mind playing a couple of hours just to git gud. Heck, I'm close to a thousand hours in DotA and I'm still learning things. I'm planning to play this game on ps4 tho.

I fail to see how a game about shooting up people in first person as a special ops police SWAT team member is like a game that came from the RTS Warcraft III...

Yes you should get it. It's fun because it's got a very steep learning curve. Also if you get it by any chance make sure you DON'T get the starter edition.

What's the machine on the left side of your kitchen? It looks like a laundry machine but is in the place of a dishwasher. I also don't see a laundry dryer.

It's a washing machine. It's the norm in the UK to have these in the kitchen

A lot of UK kitchens don't have a dishwasher, particularly smaller ones. I've lived in 4 places (3 houses and a flat) and only 1 had a dishwasher, and only 2 of them had a dryer for clothes. Also be aware top-loading washers just don't exist here, I've literally never seen one for sale.

We either put stuff directly on radiators or use a clothes horse to dry our stuff.

With a space that small, you want things that can do double or triple duty as much as possible, or can fold away to give you more room.

I think Ikea has wall mountable tables which you can drop down when you are eating, or fold away when you aren't using it, which might work well in the space you have.

Okay here’s a question. You obviously have a PlayStation, which as far as I know can have Netflix and stuff on it, what do you find yourself using Apple TV for? It might sound like stupid a stupid question but what does Apple TV do that a PlayStation/Xbox can’t? Is it the same as an amazon fire tv stick in that it just makes a ‘dumb tv’ into a ‘smart tv’? Other than that, love the coffee table!

And since I am replying to you here I will just say you have a cool setup. You can run that one wire down to the left leg and hide it and the Apple TV will work without direct input as well, so you can literally just put it on the floor behind the system and hide all clutter.

For the apps I use I find that they work better through my TV and PS4. Example: NFL Gampass and WWE network.

Have you used the PS4 for media streaming? Their apps are laggy and slow and there is constant ads within the app section for video. It is just messy.

I almost got rid of my apple tv for the same reasons you're stating but I am glad I didn't. I can't believe Sony gives no love to those apps and the video section in general.

Also, there is airplay and apple music (if you use that service). Airplay is basically just casting, but it is pretty useful if you have an iphone.

I only have an Xbox and I find that does Netflix and NowTV and all that pretty well! I do have an iPhone and that’s why I thought about Apple TV but I just wanted to see what I does different to my Xbox haha!

I’ve never used an Xbox but I know it is probably superior to PS4 when it comes to apps and streaming. So yeah, you might not get much out of an Apple TV that you’re not already getting (except for apple music/AirPlay).

I do also like having a dedicated remote for the apps instead of the controller. The controller either always has to be on or it powers down on a timer and you have to hit the ps button and turn it on for it to work again.
