Does it do the reverse, what of I wanted to find all the movies/tv shows which play a song? Specifically Beethoven's 7th, 2nd movement.

If their database is set up properly, it should be just as easy for them to return all the shows/movies with a given song than it is all the songs for a given show...

Come again?

I believe they mean to find a song they like in another form of entertainment. When you played Moonlight Sonata in Resident Evil 1? That was fucking boss.

That doesn't make sense to you?

I was just messing with him because he posted the same comment 4 times.

You heard them. They wan't to find Beethoven's second movement!

Does it mention the time/scene the song plays? Otherwise, it's the same as IMDb

Yes, it does. I found it to be much more accurate than imdb, too.

The Fall, 2006.

I usually resort to Wikipedia instead and it usually gives the common tv shows with the song in. It would be easy for tunefind to do that though

This is weird. I remember listening to a piece of music, and saying to myself I wish I knew of a website that would list all the movies and tv shows where this music is also featured. The music was Beethoven's 7th, 2nd movement. I'm actually kinda freaked out right now...

â—”_â—” Who?

Who are you? Who who, who who

Who who, are they?

Read this as "Tunafind, a website" and I thought there was a rival company to internet dating site Plenty of Fish.

Brb.... Gotta go patent something not related at all to Tunafind©

Ditto. Brb putting the rod and reel back in storage

Goddamn.. the 1 thing I wanted isn't there. Season 1 Episode 8 of Workaholics, the end chase scene. FML

Which one are you talking about? The electro one?

Edit : Been trying to find it for 15 minutes now. My best guest would be to shoot a message to Jennifer Pyken, who is the music supervisor for the show on her facebook page if you're that desesperate.

The only artist credited for that episode is The Skinny Boys (they made the show theme too) but it really doesn't sound like something they'd play. I've tried several music recognition services but the fact that they talk in the middle of it (plus there is no reliable recognition website / software on pc, and using my phone wasn't easy as I'm wearing headphones) didn't make it easy.

I really wished I was the hero you need, but at least I tried :(

This

I appreciate it. I've tried all that stuff too, short of creeping out Jennifer, which I may do. I also forget when they do AMA's. It's no longer about the song for me, it's the principle.

WHOA.. The internet IS beautiful. Thanks! You'd be amazed at the amount of time I spent looking for that source. <3

fuck I fell for this so hard

Browsing on mobile takes the fun out of it because you see his beady little eyes staring out at you from the thumbnail.

/r/tipofmytongue

use this next time

:D Honestly it sounds like something short that was written just to fill that scene, it might not be from anything longer.

I came across this site earlier today when looking for a song from a How I Met Your Mother episode. Bookmarked it immediately

Rewind by Goldspot, actually. But I'm sure I'll be referencing the site often.

BUT I WOULD WALK FIVE HUNDRED MILES

AND I WOULD WALK FIVE HUNDRED MORE

You know what show has killer music? Silicon Valley. KI LLER

Love it. I'm a fan of a lot of commercial songs - those "shot with an iPhone" commercials lately have had some really cool sounding songs in them

I'll give $10 to anyone that can find this song for me!

https://youtu.be/nBa5spcPsgk

I recorded the audio from my iPhone- it's at the end of a Cosby show episode and I've been searching for it for years with no luck.

I'll look into it later, hopefully I can help

They should do commercials as well. I always here some awesome music during some commercials at my sisters house (who still hasn't cut the cord and gone netflix) and i never know who it is

Is there a dedicated subreddit for this? Like a tomt specifically for music from shows?

I read it as tunafind first, and I thought to myself, "why the fuck would I want to find tuna?"

yes it does do the reverse

I had the idea for this website 10 years ago, never acted on it. Glad someone made it.

Well the site says they've been the best at what they do since 2005.... Coincidence?

You only have listed the NEW Dallas series , not the - you know - the one from the 80s with 14 seasons, 5 of which were #1 or #2 in network television ratings-- great site , misses 50% of the 1980s top television show.

Now there needs to be one for commercials. Surprisingly, the recent Bud Lite commercials use some pretty good music, and there's one that I've liked that I've only seen once and can't find so I can't figure out what song it was and it's bugging me constantly.

I've been searching a long time for the Movie "Alien" re-edited with the famous background music from Arrested Development? I think it is. Still don't know what that music is called so I can't google it, and Arrested Development didn't make the list so my search continues.

Thank you for this. There was another site that went for the same thing as this, but it just failed at every aspect that it tried to do.

What is the difference between bold links and non bold links? Also, I'm sad it's missing That 70's Show.

To be fair it's still missing a lot of content, but the good part is that the users are creating it, so if some of us take time to add one or two songs from the shows we watch, it will greatly improve

Cool, but doesnt IMDB do the same?

Barely. It isn't always accurate and most of all it doesn't say exactly in what scene the song is played.

Stargate isn't on there :( and i mean SG1

Unfortunately, it's all Darude - Sandstorm

Kinda like shazam, cool

Because its sooooo hard to google the soundtrack of a certain movie or show...

For some TV shows (looking at you Sense8) it's not that easy

It's the 9th assumption on my google search bar and all i had to do was type Sense8. So are you like legally blind or something?

Try and find the songs. I didn't ask what number on your Google search bar it showed up at. So are you like chronically stupid or something?

You didn't give specifics, but here you go:

http://genius.com/Tv-show-soundtracks-music-from-sense8-lyrics.

Just ask people that are more chronically stupid than you to find everything for ya, genius.

Also an added bonus, you literally went to a site that has the same function of the site in question. Soooooo

Soooo tunefind IS pointless.

The website shows all episodes of all seasons broken down by order of appearance. It also shows a list of other shows where the songs may have turned up. My point wasn't to say you couldn't find them via Google. It was that this site is easier than trying to find them via Google.
