He did because his business was failing due to vans parking in front of his cinema and he got less ~~costumers~~ customers.

That is my favorite part of Scooby Doo. Some normal citizen takes one class, reads one book, or helps their kid with their engineering homework and suddenly they can build blimps, fly using magnets, create holograms and/or design and control robots beyond what any human has accomplished to date.

In case anyone is wondering how a van catches on fire in the winter I'll lay down some knows. If your antifreeze is diluted too much it will freeze. When it is frozen and you go to start your car the vanes in the water pump will shear off in the frozen liquid. No waterpump means no coolant for engine and much fire.
