I don't disagree with that, however I do think a big part of the problem with politicians is their presence is only for the sole purpose to make workers think they have a choice in election.
Donald trump never actually made any decisions for the USA. He is the face of "freedom of choice" that people believe they have. The truth is anyone who is in a political position is being controlled by the government. A president isn't allowed to just make a statement and force the country to follow it up.
The government controls what the politicians say, which leaves people with an image that they have the freedom to choose. When in reality both choices will lead to the same outcome.

Disagree tbh. While some choices are hollow, I think there are some major differences in the parties and the politicians each have their own goals. That's why we have pork barrel spending, where they add random shit to bills to get each congressmen's vote. The COVID relief bill had money that went to gender studies in the middle east, for example.

The issue is both sides would have to be willing to do a reset and the establishment won't allow that. The buffoons in office want to get reelected, after all. They use their connections to influence the media and you end up with the situation we're in now. Honestly, congressional term limits would help a lot.
