Must be real expensive without the bloodstains.
Must be real expensive without the bloodstains.
That reminds me of that one time where I bled on my high school calculus book
Me when the paper cuts
what
He had epic Battle
Bro, I would be on death row if I was charged for everything I pirated
Same here. Good thing pirating is a way of life in my country.
Somalia?
Nigeria. There's Literally at least 5 people at the bus stop selling tons of pirated discs at any given day. Either the discs are pirated, or disney, DreamWorks, and DC had some secret collaboration and decided to release all their movies in a single disc and sell it for a dollar and fifty.
I don't see how that would be profitable for Disney, Dreamworks and DC but whatever works for them I guess
Better to have something than nothing
Fellow Naija Kneegrow here. I can vet this
Same Counting the games and movies my dad bought to me as a kid And the games that i pirate but never open or only play once, only to a week later be removed to preserve space in the hdd/ssd
Bro I’d be in hells death row if for pirating if I was caught
It's FitGirl's fault, not mine
If I was charged for everything I've pirated the police would just walk up and shoot me
me if owning a 200 gb folder worth of emulated games was a crime
Spez ate all my fish and now my aquarium is fucking empty. I have nothing left this message was mass deleted/edited with redact.dev
"Akshualyy, it is" 🤓
Me if owning multiple terabytes of pirated games was a crime
Me if murder was a crime
Me if having pirated software worth 200gb on my 3ds and wii u was a crime
It wouldn't be so big if a certain company starting with an N were to make their big catalog of retro games readily available for purchase at a fair price
One time my school expected me to buy, not a textbook, but an unbound pile of paper, for 115 dollars.
Ain't no way. I'll be damned if I'm spending 3 digits on a stack of paper
Luckily, it was a music book and my Dad owns a music store, so my Dad got it wholesale for me.
Where? So I can stay away from it of course.

Library genesis
Education is a right
Education is a basic human right... Almost like piracy
I don’t pirate movies and tv shows because I want those things to continue to exist. I pirate $100 textbooks because I don’t want $100 textbooks to exist.
You are obviously innocent, as somebody who had committed such a crime would know that you should use “were” for this sentence.
Should he?
The verb "owning" in that sentence is in the gerund form. Gerund, when used as a subject, works as a noun in singular, and as such uses "was", not "were".
You’re right, but it’s about the context. “Were” is used for multiple/plural situations, but also for hypothetical statements such as this one.
For example, “If I was rich” does not work (even though it’s singular), but “if I were rich” does.
The English language is stupid.
Oh wow. Yup, that is dumb.
~~It's definitely a ploy to increase sales of hundred dollar textbooks~~
Yeah, I know that feeling.
Jumpstart Fourth Grade: Haunted Island was my favorite too.

Me if storing TM-21-210 Improvised Munitions Handbook 1969 Department of the Army in my computer was illegal
Piracy is moral
B...but you get to use it for a WHOLE four months before the new edition makes it obsolete!
Isn't that generous?
me if owning 35TB of pirated movies and TV shows was a crime
Only 35TB? Bro u slacking
I have 2PB in total stored on enterprise gdrive
Aah that makes more sense
Me if owning 200GB worth of Pirated movies and Web series at 4k quality and FHD quality was a crime. Edit: and web series.
usa moment
Some mfs from America REALLY take piracy way too seriously. Its a fairly standard and common thing in many countries where you dont need a VPN or something to get something you werent going to use your hard earned money to buy either way.
Oh, so you are Saul Goodman taking mugshots.
All that shit is clogging my primary google drive folder
Wait. You guys aren't paying 1k+?
Every teacher showing movies to the class
300$ for a text book? American moment
I use archive.org for textbooks
Who's gonna tell him

Oh yeah I heard about Aaron's story. It's actually ½ of the reason I made this meme. I just didn't know that the other founder of reddit actually had a reddit account. Aaron did nothing wrong IMO

Thanks for the documentary link
Yar m8y
The father of reddit (Aaron) must be pround.
erm akshually it is... awkward...🤓
I once pirated 5 books each worth 200$
Does anyone know where I can emulate games or pirate comics?
Me if using CFW on my 3ds and Citra on my pc was a crime:
Uni textbooks are such a fucking racket.
If Disney can offer their damn near entire catalogue + the Simpsons for 11 bucks a month, we shouldn't need to spend 80 on a fucking calculus book.

Wasn't one of the founding members of reddit arrested for this or something
To be fair I am sure most criminals don’t think their crimes are “real” crimes. Most people can’t believe they are a bad person. It is all justifiable in some convoluted way.
Paying for education is a crime in itself. Education should be funded by the state through taxes and provided to everyone. Poor neighborhoods with underfunded schools is a crime in itself.
Even if you don't care about other people. Better education makes people richer, which in turn raises your GDP, which raises your standard of living. So providing education to everyone in your country is actually benefiting you, even if you only care about yourself.
Unlike theft, digital piracy doesn't deplete someone's supply of the file in question, so idc lol
it is a crime
https://i.redd.it/tmlhv9fnd2ia1.gif
It is a joke
You're the type of person who would say "You wouldn't download a car!"
Yes, yes i absolutely would.
By law, it is. By moral, a lot of people would agree that it isn't. Education should be free for everyone who wants it, and paid by the public. To educate only those who are able to pay or agree to massive debt isn't good. Not only morally, but also for your GDP.
As long as not everyone in a developed country has access to education, one should pirate as much as they need to get the education that they couldn't otherwise.
To support an industry that forces people to buy hundreds of dollars worth of books they don't need so rich people get richer is fucked up.
I never had to buy a book for uni. Everything I require for the course is provided for free by my university, and every paper and book I require is available online for free through the digital libraries of my university.
If it wasn't? I would get that shit for free. I want to learn not pay stupid amounts of money that is totally unnecessary. Even if the course is designed after a book a professor could hold it that they could provide every needed resource for free. They are either greedy and try to sell you their own book or are forced to do it? If they are compliant it isn't great, if they want to rip you off, fuck them. They get paid rather well to educate people. Which they don't do a good job off if they force people to buy expensive books they don't need. I had professors that build their course around their own book, and I got all resources for free that I required for it. If I wanted to know more about the topic, there would be more in his book. A book I recommend to friends, because it teaches the things very well.
And one that I couldn't care less about committing.
A crime that is justifiably not well enforced in many countries, and legal in others.
If you want people to not pirate your shit, make your service cheaper and more accessible, especially when it comes to something important like educational textbooks
Any alternatives since zlib got shutdown?
Nice try officer

It's almost impossible to use, I was stuck at the login page for half an hour

Me if killing those who post gifs larger than 8mb was a crime:
https://i.redd.it/hgqjoc3hv8ja1.gif
This should be just below 8mb
Thank you very much. Discord has an 8mb limit :/
Yeah, I often post memes while forgetting about the discord 8mb limit. I'm willing to mess with memes a little to get it to the 8mb limit, so feel free to tell me whenever you need the 8mb file of my meme :)
