The basics of it are that it's a Raspberry Pi 4 using a PiJuice module for power management. The screen is a 480x1920 8.8inch panel and a Vortex Core 40% keyboard. I'm planning to do a build guide/write-up when I get a chance this week and make the case designs available to anyone who wants to print them :)

This is so cool. Really clean work. Well done.
This has me thinking about a compact HMD setup with a decapitated laptop. You really can work anywhere these days—why not push the envelope?
This is what I wish an entire pc setup could look like using a vr headset to navigate. Just tiny but overly powerful and manipulating everything in the virtual UI.

Well, if you got a laptop with a 2060 or better, took the mobo out and fit it into a custom 3D printed shell, wouldn't that fit the bill? It'd be an expensive mod but damn that would be cool. Hardware would also really depend on application, ie VR vs AR. Maybe in a few years when that kind of hardware is cheaper.
If I had money of any sort I'd love to build all sorts of things. It's that damn money requirement holding me back lol.
i bet u can find someone who doesn't wanna put in the work to make these beautiful machines, but is willing to give u all the stuff u need to make your machines
If you could get the HTC vive flow working as a pc screen you would be the cyberest punk.
That's really sweet
You're sweet
Can't help it, awesome work makes me sweet
Keep killing it pal
